The fun of O-Week continues but some Orientation activities have been lost. Here we have the last year of Fountain Hopping... How we will miss swimming in stale water and stubbing our toes on old pipes...
Before that we lost the O-Week dance. This video from 1997 might make losing the dance seem like a good idea. RIP lost traditions.

A little sarcasm, no? Actually, most students will miss fountain hopping. It was my greatest memory from O-week. Furman should be ashamed for getting rid of such a great tradition that really isn't that dangerous.
Sanctioned fountain hopping may have ended but I can assure you that it continued into the '80's, with the added fun of trying to hit all of the fountains before being caught by campus safety.
